The stainless steel tube can be classified into several systems: Cr system (400 series), Cr-Ni system (300 series), Cr-Mn-Ni system (200 series), and precipitation hardening system (600 series). The 200 series consists of chrome-nickel-manganese austenitic stainless steel, while the 300 series includes chrome-nickel austenitic stainless steel.
301----- This stainless steel offers excellent extension properties, making it ideal for molding products. It can also be hardened through mechanical processing, providing good weldability. Additionally, its wear resistance and fatigue strength surpass those of 304 stainless steel.
302----- This grade offers corrosion resistance on par with 304. However, due to its higher carbon content, it also provides better strength.
303----- By introducing a small amount of sulfur and phosphorus, this grade is easier to cut compared to 304.
304----- Known as 18/8 stainless steel, the GB grade is 0Cr18Ni9. The 309 grade offers better temperature resistance than 304.
316----- The second most widely used steel grade after 304, 316 is primarily utilized in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, and for surgical equipment. The addition of molybdenum provides a special structure that is resistant to corrosion.
321 - Similar to 304 in many respects, this grade includes titanium, which reduces the risk of corrosion in welded areas.
400 series - This series includes ferritic and martensitic stainless steels.
408- This grade offers good heat resistance but weak corrosion resistance, containing 11% Cr and 8% Ni.
409- The most economical model, typically used for car exhaust pipes, is a ferritic stainless steel often referred to as chrome steel.
410- This grade is a high-strength martensitic chrome steel with good wear resistance but poor corrosion resistance.
416- Adding sulfur enhances the material's processing properties.
420- Known as a "cutting grade" martensitic steel, it is similar to the earliest stainless steel, Brinell high chromium steel. It is also used for surgical knives and can be polished to a high shine.
430 - This ferritic stainless steel is used for decoration, such as automotive accessories. It has good formability, but poor temperature and corrosion resistance.
440- This high-strength cutting tool steel has a slightly higher carbon content. Proper heat treatment can yield higher strength and hardness, reaching up to 58HRC, making it one of the hardest stainless steels. It is commonly used for razor blades and includes models 440A, 440B, 440C, and 440F (easy processing type).
500 series - This series comprises heat-resistant chrome alloy steels.
600Series - This series includes martensitic precipitation hardened stainless steel tubes.
